On September 8, the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, Subcommittee on Water and Wildlife (Chair, Senator Ben Cardin, D-MD) will hold a field hearing in Annapolis, MD, on the recently-signed Chesapeake Bay Agreement (CBA), which seeks to accelerate Chesapeake Bay habitat, fisheries, and water quality restoration. NOAA is one of seven federal signatories to the CBA, and will discuss its role in meeting the ten goals of the Agreement. The Director of NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service, Chesapeake Bay Office, Peyton Robertson, will testify.
